Close up of an Australian Magpie.
This 'maggie' pays a visit every now and again to my verandah.
Of course with the idea of food in mind. In this image the 'Maggie'
seems a little unhappy to wait. I have a soft spot for Magpies.
They can become quite friendly. As a kid I had a pet magpie who used
to sit on my lap while I studied for school. It also loved to help mum
in the garden, as well as sort out the pegs under the clothesline.
However it wasn't quite an angel, because my pet 'maggie' loved to
peck the toes of one of my aunties when she visited.
